Privacy Policy

algrohack operates www.algrohack.com and the algrohack app. In this policy “we” means algrohack, and “you” means anyone who visits the site, joins the waitlist or uses the app.

algrohack is an independent project, not yet an incorporated company. It is run by one person, and the address above reaches them directly. If that changes, the registered entity will be named here.

Your account. Your name and email address. If you sign up with an email and password, the password is held by Google's sign-in service and we never see it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google. If you upload a profile photo, we store it.

Your public Instagram content. When you connect a handle, we read what that account has already made public: the profile (bio, follower and post counts), recent posts and their captions, view and like counts, and cover images. To learn how you speak, we download recent reels long enough to transcribe their audio and read the text on carousel slides; we keep the words, not the audio or the images. We copy reel cover images to our own storage because Instagram's links to them expire.

What you tell us. Your answers during setup (for example whether you appear on camera and where you heard about us), scripts you paste in, and, if you record a voice note, its transcript. The recording itself is transcribed and not stored.

Your Content Brain. What we work out from all of the above: a summary of what you make, your tone, topics, hooks you already use and excerpts of your own scripts. You can see and edit it on the Content Brain page.

What you make in the app. Calendar entries, reels and scripts you save to your Library, the creators on your Watchlist, your Inspiration searches and which reels we have shown you, and videos you upload to the Studio. Studio boards and chat history are kept in your browser's storage on your device, not on our servers, so clearing your browser data removes them.

Other creators' public content. Reels you paste, accounts you watch and accounts you name as inspiration are read the same way as your own public content. We only ever read what is already public.

Payments. Card details are taken by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, on their own checkout page and never reach us. We keep your plan, its status and renewal date, the subscription reference, and any invite or promo code you used.

Limits and security. A count of how often you use features that cost us money, so we can apply daily limits. For password-reset and sign-in emails we count requests against a one-way hash of the address, not the address itself.

The waitlist. If you join it: your email address and a short label for the link you arrived from, such as “instagram”.

Visits. Our hosting provider counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.

• To learn your voice and write ideas, hooks and scripts that sound like you.
• To find reels in your niche and show you what is working for creators you follow.
• To run your account: sign-in, verification and password-reset emails, your plan.
• To apply usage limits and keep the service from being abused.
• To tell waitlist members when access opens.

We do not post, comment, message, follow or change anything on your Instagram account. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Writing and reading happen with AI models from established AI providers, used through their business APIs. They analyse your profile and captions, transcribe audio, read carousel slides, judge which reels fit your niche, and write the replies in the Content Studio chat. Each chat message sends what you typed, the sources connected to that chat and the parts of your Content Brain you have left switched on.

Under these providers' business API terms, data we send them is not used to train their models.

The hook library. When a public reel with more than 100,000 views is transcribed, its opening line may be turned into a general template (such as “I tried {habit} for {N} days”) in an internal library we use to write better hooks. Templates carry no link to you, and videos you upload are never used.

Shared transcripts. The transcript of a public reel is kept and reused when anyone pastes the same link, so it isn't paid for twice. It is stored against the reel, not against you. Transcripts of videos you upload are private to you.

You can connect algrohack to an AI assistant you already use, such as Claude, so it can work with your account. Nothing is connected unless you add algrohack in that app and press Allow on our sign-in page, which lists what the app will be able to do.

A connected app can read your Content Brain, your calendar and your Library; add and change calendar posts and save scripts; and use the features you use in the app: transcribing a reel you share, finding reels in your niche, your Watchlist, the Virality score and sound suggestions. Those count against the same limits as in the app. It cannot delete anything, see your payment details or change your password.

What a connected app receives from us is then handled by that app's provider under its own privacy policy and your agreement with them, not this one. We keep a record of each connection (the app's name and when it was connected and last used) and the codes it signs in with, stored only as one-way hashes. Disconnect any app in Settings, under Connected apps, and it loses access at once; deleting your account removes every connection.

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job below and each bound by its own security and privacy terms:

• Cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud): sign-in, database, file storage and servers.
• Hosting: serves the website and app, and counts page views.
• Data services: fetch publicly available social media content on our behalf.
• AI providers: AI processing, as described above.
• Email delivery: sends verification and password-reset emails.
• Payment processor (Dodo Payments, our merchant of record): paid plans.

We do not sell your data, and nobody outside these providers receives it. You can ask us for the current list of providers at any time.

Our database is in India (Delhi) and our servers run in India (Mumbai). Files, meaning uploaded videos, profile photos and reel cover images, are stored in Google Cloud in Japan. Some of our providers, including the AI providers, process data outside India, including in the United States.

We set no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores what the app needs to work: a sign-in token keeps you signed in, and your Studio boards, chats and the state of your Inspiration page are saved on your device so they are there when you come back. The waitlist keeps its source label in session storage, which clears when you close the tab.

• Account data and your Content Brain: until you delete your account.
• Videos you upload: until you remove them from your Studio board, or your account is deleted. Their transcripts are kept until your account is deleted.
• Reel audio and carousel images we read: not kept after the words are extracted.
• Transcripts of public reels, reel cover images and hook templates: kept, as they describe public content rather than you.
• Payment records: as long as Indian tax law requires.
• Waitlist entries: until access opens and we have emailed you, or you ask us.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can at any time:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
• Ask us to correct or complete it.
• Delete it, which closes your account: use Delete account in Settings, or ask us. Any active plan is cancelled first.
• Withdraw consent, which stops the processing that depends on it.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
• Raise a grievance about how we have handled any of the above.

All of it goes to one address: info@algrohack.com, which is also our grievance contact. A person reads it, and we aim to reply within seven days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

algrohack is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has an account or has joined the waitlist, write to us and we will delete it.

Access to your data is limited to your own signed-in account by our database and storage rules, and videos you upload can only be read by you. Passwords are held by Google's sign-in service, not by us. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

The product is new and changing quickly, and this policy will change with it. The date at the top says when it last did. If a change means using your data in a way this page doesn't already describe, we will email you before it takes effect.
