## FAQ

### How do I write a script for a short video?

Open with a hook that makes people need the next line, keep each beat to one idea, and end on a line that lands the point. Write it the way you talk, then read it out loud and cut anything you stumble on.

### What makes a good hook for a reel?

Something the viewer can't scroll past: a surprising claim, a sharp question, a mistake they make, or the payoff promised up front. Skip greetings like "Hey guys". Each script here comes with two more hooks to try.

### How long should a reel or short script be?

About 75 words for 30 seconds and 150 words for a minute, at a brisk pace. The timings on each beat come from the words themselves, and our script timer checks a script at your own pace.

### What is the on-screen text line for?

Many people scroll with the sound off. A few words on the first frame tell them what the video is about, so they stop long enough to turn the sound on.

### Is the AI script generator free?

It's free and needs no account. It uses AI to write the script from what you type, and we don't keep what you type. You can write 8 scripts a day.

### Can it write in my own voice?

This tool writes a strong general script. algrohack itself learns your voice from your own reels and turns any viral reel into your next script, which is what the app is for.
